You Deserve To Feel Calm & Relaxed During Your Visits
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Also known as laughing gas, Nitrous Oxide, is a fast-acting, light sedation that can calm your nerves and keep you comfortable during your procedure. Just before we start your treatment, you inhale the sweet-smelling, non-irritating, colorless gas, and you'll feel the anxiety or pre-visit jitters drift away.
Thanks to its anesthetic and analgesic properties, it's the most common sedation technique in dentistry. It's safe, effective and can make caring for your smile just a little bit enjoyable.
The Many Benefits Of Nitrous:
- We have a lot of control over how deeply you are sedated, and we can make adjustments quickly.
- The effects wear off right away, and you won't be left feeling groggy or unwell after your visit.
- Inhaling the gas is safe and has no side effects on your heart and lungs.
- It soothes anxiety and even dulls your reflex to gag during your procedure.
- It works quickly - it reaches your brain after 20 seconds and in 2-3 minutes you will feel the relaxation and pain-killing effects.
Oral Sedation
If you're extremely anxious or if you have an extensive procedure, we can administer an oral sedative for a deeper level of sedation.
With oral sedation, you will still be conscious and able to respond, but you will be in a state of complete relaxation and will likely not remember any details. Just make sure you have someone who can take you home after your treatment.
The Benefits Of Oral Sedation:
- You will be deeply relaxed and might even fall asleep during your procedure.
- It can keep you calm and comfortable through even a lengthy procedure.
- It allows you to schedule multiple treatments or full mouth restorations in one visit.
- It also helps reduce discomfort after your procedure.
